excel training program - Add an Excel file to a word document

Add an Excel file to a word document
When I try and add an excel file to a word document (Insert/file) the excel file appears to be corrupted.Is there a way around this/am I saving the file in the wrond format? Or should I just stick with copy and paste?

Try inserting the spreasheet as an object, so click on Insert and then object and then create from file tab. Select the file.Did this work?
