Word

Hi Anthony,

Hope you're well.

I'm nearly finalising our templates, however, on my Heading 1 (bar template) when you insert a page break and then select Heading 1, it is showing the solid blue heading bar on the previous page when the page break has been inserted.

Any ideas?
Many thanks
Emma

RE: Word

Hi Emma. Glad to hear the templates are nearing completion. Off the top of my head, I'd switch on the non-printing characters and make sure your style didn't include the blue bar when you selected the text and created Heading 1. It could be that the previous paragraph mark was selected when you created the style, and it would bring the associated formatting with it.

If that didn't work, I'd delete Heading 1 and rebuild it!

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Word tip:

Type Out a Table

Tables can be created by simply typing out a string of PLUS SIGNS (+) and MINUS SIGNS (-).

First start the row with a PLUS SIGN (+) and then type MINUS SIGN (-) until you have the column width you want. To add a new column type PLUS SIGN (+) again. When you're done type a final PLUS SIGN (+) and press ENTER.

Word turns your text into a table. To add more rows to your table, move to the last cell in the table and press TAB.

Ensure to turn on the AutoFormat feature in Word.
That is, on the Tools > AutoCorrect menu. Select the AutoFormat As You Type tab and select the Tables check box.
