Outlook and Excel
Is it possible to download information from the diary in Outlook to Excel to analyse how time is spent on each project? For upcoming training course dates see: Pricing & availability
RE: Outlook and Excel
Hi HarrietThank you for your question.
One way might be to first categorise meetings using the built in category tool.
Then switch to your calendar and from the View menu and choose Current View > Events
The events view has the Categories field listed as one of the columns.
Select all the events (single click on one row then use CTRL key + A to select all followed by CTRL + C to copy)
Switch to Excel and click into a blank sheet then pate (CTRL + V)
You can now use auto-filter to filter on the Data ribbon to select events with a particular category and count them etc.
I hope this helps in your analysis. Do let us know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
Andrew
