Levelling

Can you level resources across a number of projects rather than just tasks in one project?

RE: Levelling

Hi Laura,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

When you create a Master Project with each individual project sharing the same resource pool, when you use the levelling tool it will level your resources across all the projects.

In each project, you can go to Project, then Project Information and set a priority level for each project. The lower the number, the task that the resource is doing willl be delayed first.

The higher the number you assign to each project will mean that the tasks in that project will be delayed last.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

Ms project tip:

Inserting Task Durations Quickly

When entering durations for your tasks simply use the single letters - m for min, h for hr, d for day, w for week, but mon for month. If default is set for days, you need only type the number, for example 3 for 3days, or 0.5 for half a day.
