Is there any other way to set up an index in more detail that merges different formats of one word under one heading. e.g.

Hi Eileen,

Thank you for your question.

You could achieve this by creating a one column table and in the column enter every variation of the word or words you want indexed.

Open the file that needs the index and go to Insert Reference and then Automark.

Select the file you saved with the table of words and click ok.

The document will automatically be indexed with the entries in the table.

I've got a spreadhseet with over 1000 rows. In the first column, some rows have an office name, the others don't. I would like to filter, so it shows all the rows with one office name, however, when i do this, it just filters the first few row..
