RE: tables

Hello Shelley

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

There are a couple of ways of going about doing this.

1. Use Repeat Header Rows. If the first row in your table contains headings for your columns, turn this feature on so that the table will automatically split over pages; and repeat the headings from the first row of the table on the new page. To use this, click inside your table and on the Table Tools - Layout ribbon, click the Repeat Header Rows button.

2. Use Split Table. Click your cursor inside the row that you want to appear on the next page, then go to Table Tools - Layout and click the Split Table button. This separates the table into two different tables. Then you can insert a page or section break above the second table, to force it to go onto the next page.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
Amanda

Word tip:

Displaying tables in columns

How do you display two tables adjacent to each other on a page that has two columns?

1. Insert two tables as you normally would.

2. Adjust column widths in each table so that the total width of each table is less than half the width of the page.

3. Highlight both tables.

4. Click the Columns button (on the Standard toolbar), then select 2 Columns.
