RE: bar numbers

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your question.

I presume you have a Project plan and want the task ID numbers to appear on the Gantt bars on the Gantt chart.

If so, go to Format and then Bar Styles. Select the first type of bar which is Task and then click on the Text tab further down.

Then click into one of the orientation fields(Left,Right,Inside,Top or Bottom) and click on the button at the end of the field to display a list of project fields. Scroll down the list of fields until you find the ID field and select it. Then click OK. The ID numbers should then appear on your gantt chart.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon

Ms project tip:

MS Project 2010 Scroll to Task

Ever feel lost on a large project file? In Gantt view, Task ribbon, Editing, click on the Scroll to Task tool to centre the task bar on your screen.

Shortcut Ctrl+Shift+F5

Same as Go to Selected Task in MS Project 2003.
