RE: Project management

Hi Bob

Thanks for your question. I think many people start off using MS Excel because it's a familar package and is easy to configure. After a while though when the complexity of the plan starts to emerge Excel can be quite tricky to use for maintaining project schedules.

On the other hand MS Project can feel like it has a steep learning curve but over time is better suited to handing the running of a project. So whilst it might be a bit less straightforward to use initially I think MS Project is a good application to use over the longer term.

I hope this helps - do let us know if you have any further quesitons.

Kind regards,
Andrew

Professional & management tip:

Task List or To Do List

Don't confuse yourself with too many tasks on a to do list. The Task List is all the things that require attention, whether by you or others, now or later. The To Do list is your immediate daily plan, and is a subset of your Task List.

Keep your To Do list to no more than 5 major items.
