The elook up function will based on the lookup value supplied, start searching from the first column in the lookup array for the row that the lookup value appears in the table array. It will then use the lookup column argue supplied to return the value of the cell in the column specified.

Excel tip:

Highlighting only Text cells

To select onlt text value cells in a spreadsheet, click on Edit-Go to(F5)

In the Go To dialog box, click Special.
In the Go To Special dialog box, select Constants.
Click OK.
