RE: Dsum/Daverage etc functions

Hello Stuart

Thank you for your question.

DSUM and DAVERAGE are part of a group of functions referred to as Database functions. There are 12 database functions in total. Searching for database functions in Excel help will give you a list of each function and a description of what each one does.

Each database function is designed to summarise contained within a database/list in slightly different ways.

Kind regards
Amanda

Excel tip:

Sorting data stored in rows

Primarily Excel is set up to sort data that is stored in columns rather than rows.

It is possible to get Excel to sort data stored in rows however.

Click in the row you want to sort, or select the cells in the rows you wish to sort.

Go to Data - Sort, then go to the Options button in the bottom left corner of the Sort dialogue box.
