Visio copying and pasting

Hi. I have 2 visio documents that I am trying to combine into 1 document. Copying and pasting (even Special Pasting) loses the formatting. Do you know of any way I can guarantee that formatting will be copied over, or any way I can copy a tab from one visio document to another (similar to Excel)?

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately Visio does not have a straightforward way of copying a whole page from one file to another. It seems that this is a problem that other people have come across as well; and there isn't a simple solution to it (more information about this on the following page if you're interested: http://help.lockergnome.com/office2/Moving-Visio-Pages-Files--ftopict700832.html).

Using the Quick Access Toolbar in Visio 2010

The Quick Access Toolbar is included in virtually every Office product, including Visio 2010 as well as Outlook 2010, Word 2010, Excel 2010, and PowerPoint 2010.

You will find the Quick Access Toolbar in the top-left side of the window. To begin, click the Customize button (it's the little black arrow at the end of the toolbar).

Simply click the commands you want to include.

Virtually any command can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. Click the More Commands option and a new window will open from where you can browse the commands including those not on the ribbon.
