Thank you for your question. There are lots of variables that influence whether or not you can see the same mailbox across several locations. I can offer general information here but to make sure you don't run the risk of losing email messages you must check with your IT department and/or your email provider for the specifics relating to your account before making changes.

A POP3 mail connection to your mailbox will pull messages from your inbox to the machine you are using to browse your emails - but this means those downloaded messages can't be accessed from other locations.

If you are using a POP3 connection in Outlook There is a setting that might help in Tools > Email accounts > Select your account and choose change. Click on more settings then the Advanced tab. You will see an option to "Leave a message on the server"

This means Outlook will download a copy of the email leaving the original on the server. The plus side of this is that you can still access the message when you connect to your inbox from another machine. The downside is that you can end up with duplicates of your email messages, as the original is never moved simply copied.

You may find it easier to connect to your mail account using a different protocol altogether. IMAP should offer a live view of your mailbox folders regardless of the machine used to access the email. Not all email providers offer this however.

Another alternative is to run everything through MS Exchange Server. This also means the same view of the inbox is available from multiple locations but this is a large and sophisticated solution to the problem and not all organisations are able to implement it.

Once again check with your IT department and/or your email provider before making any changes to avoid the risk of losing messages. They should be able to give you the best advice with regard to your email account.
