Find particular records

We have a contacts-based database. If I wanted to find a particular individual (not knowing what company he worked at) how could I do it? The Find and Replace worked only for finding companies, not an individual.

Thanks

RE: Find particular records

Hi Sue

Thanks for your question

I am assuming that you have listed multiple individuals per company. If this is the case then it all depends on the structure of your database

If the individuals are stored in their own table you could build a form based on that table and use find and replace there. Alternatively, you could build a parameter query that does the same thing.

If however they are stored in multiple fields within the company table, then the problem is more complex as you would have to build a query that looks at these multiple fields

Regards

Stephen
