Pivot Charts in queries

Hi. After creating a pivot chart in a query is there an easy and quick way of putting the chart and data into a report? I currently have to create the report and add fields to calculate totals or averages on reports although it's so much easier to do in pivot view and am not very good at graphing data in reports. Thanks for any suggestions. Elvira

Can you clarify one thing for me?

1. Are you building your pivot chart in Access or are you exporting the basic query to Excel and building it there?

Hi. I'm building the pivot charts in access and I have weekly reports I'm running for the team but it's hard to share the pivot charts with them in a nice format. That's why I'm looking into creating reports from those pivot queries but it seems rather labour intensive. Any suggestions for an easy solution or should I just do it in Excel?

Hi Elvira,

I am sorry about the delay in responding.

I have always found when creating Charts or Pivot Charts, Excel is a lot easier to create effective charts.

Creating charts in Access has always been labour intensive.

I would suggest exporting the data to Excel and create your charts using this application.

Access tip:

Modal forms

If you have created a form / switchboard and dont want people to get away from using the switchboard, you can change the form properites for Modal to On.

Is it possible to import a form with from one database in access 2007 to another? Are there any issues to be aware of when doing this process. I have a form that is not functioning properly that I imported from a different database.
