Hi Joanne, thanks for your query. Depends on the sort of thing you want to do, really. You can download animated gif files which will operate in the background of a slide or alternatively you could just animate some elements behind other static elements on your slide. It all depends on what sort of final result you want to achieve.

Powerpoint tip:

Disable animations in slide show view

Want to stop your animations from playing in slide show view temporarily? You can disable animations by:

1. Going to Slide Show - Set Up Show on the menu bar.

2. Putting a check next to "Show without animation" under Show Options.

3. Clicking OK.

Remove the check from the "Show without animation" checkbox to enable animations to play again.
