Is it possible to get around the security setting where you have to wait 5 seconds before an ecxel spreadsheet will send an email using outlook?Thanks.

I strongly urge however that you confirm the safety of such an approach with your IT support staff before proceeding

Thanks Stephen, I'll take a look at this.I also found some code which might be worth a look. It involves creating a public function in the Outlook VBA Project and then calling that function from within VBA code running in another application. It's based on the fact that functions in the Outlook project should be trusted and therfore not trigger the security warnings. It's based in Access VBA but from what I've read there shouldn't be any reason for it not to be transferrable to other applications. I've not had chance to digest exactly how it works yet but I'll give it a try. Link is below if you want to take a look.
