Creating forms
When a form has been protected, the spell check wont work. Is there an easy way round this? For upcoming training course dates see: Pricing & availability
RE: Creating forms
Hi GillThank you for your question. When the form is protected the spellchecker will not run, as you have found.
If the document is unprotected the new form fields will still work for data entry, the spellchecker can run but the body of the form can be edited.
It appears that the only way around this is to take a protected form then unprotect it to carry out the spellchecking. If necessary the form can then be locked again.
This would mean that the protection would be set either without a password or with a password that is shared.
One way around this is to use a macro. Whilst I haven't tested the following I'm given to understand it may help in creating a macro to automate the unprotect > spellcheck > reprotection of the document.
Kind regards,
Andrew
