Course documentation

Hi Anthony,
I've just started to look at our website and to use the stuff you taught us last week, but have realised that I remember less than I thought. As I was not working on my own PC, I haven't got a copy of the course documentation that you loaded onto the other PCs. Any chance of your e-mailing it to me?
Chris

RE: Course documentation

Hi Chris, thanks for your query. Here is the link to the courseware we used. It's about 30MB in size, which is why I can't email it directly to you. Also, it's the same as our Dreamweaver courseware, hence the name but don't let that put you off. The manual contains explanations of all the concepts we covered but just be aware that it refers to Dreamweaver rather than Expression Web throughout; we in the process of capturing screenshots of Expression Web for our manual as we speak. The website resources and completed versions are all bundled in the zip file.

I hope this helps. It was great to meet you all in Coventry. Do let me know how you get on!

Anthony

Expression web tip:

Protecting Email Addresses

If you put mailto: links on your web page, spammers can crawl your web site and 'pick up' the e-mail addresses quite easily.

One tip to deal with this is to NOT use mailto: links at all. Simply write the e-mail address, and don't link it.

Spammers can get these e-mail addresses too, so one thing you can do to stop the majority of spammers getting just plain text e-mail addresses of your web pages is to use the following code:

me<code>@</code>mysite.com

This code will appear correctly on your web page and allows users to copy and paste it into their email client, but isn't seen by the automatic harvesters that spammers use.
