Merging from a PDF

Hi,

I have a very large pdf document which I only need two pages of. I've tried copying the info from these two pages into Word but the tables are copying blury. What I would like to do is add the two pdf pages to the end of a word document. Is this possible and if so, how do I go about it?

Thanks
Kate

RE: Merging from a PDF

Hi Kate

Thank you for your question.

As you have discovered Word doesn't have the ability to directly edit PDF files. Other softare companies do make applications that enable the user to edit the contents of PDF files (e.g. Adobe).

Depending on what you needed from the PDF file you may find it helpful to take a screen capture (Prt Scrn button on your keyboard) of the PDF page then paste into Paint or other picture edting program. Finally save your new picture as a jpg file. You could then insert this into Word (perhaps cropping to tidy up the result).

I hope this helps - do let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,

Andrew

Word tip:

Easily manipulate inserted images

When images are inserted into a Word document (Insert - Picture - from File), by default the images are formatted to be 'In line with text' which can make it difficult to position the inserted image exactly where you want it to go in your document.

The default settings in Word can be changed so that when images are inserted, they are much easier to manipulate and move around in your document.

1. Go to Tools - Options.
2. Select the Edit tab.
3. Under 'Insert/paste pictures as:' select 'Square' or 'Tight' from the drop down options.
4. Click OK.
