RE: What is the best way to print my project

Hi Kylie

There are several things you can do to help keep printing under control.

From the File menu try Page Setup. From the Page tab you can control the scale of your print-out, perhaps reducing it from 100% (try 96%). Use the preview button to test the output meets your requirements.

Alternatively you can force Project to fit the task list and chart on a print out 1 page wide by one page tall (or any combination of numbers that suits your purpose)

Whilst in the Page Setup dialogue box take a look at the View tab. It lets you control whether blank pages are printed and how many columns should be included in the print-out. One other useful option is the ability to force Project to fit the timescale to the end of the page.

The print dialogue box (File > Print) can also help. For example you can use the print dialogue box to limit the print out to show only tasks that fall within a range of dates, rather than print the entire Gantt chart.

Lastly you can adjust your Gantt chart itself. For example you might want to close any summary tasks to hide sub tasks that don't need printing.

Hope this helps - let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,

Andrew

Ms project tip:

Enter a Date

You can enter today's date (or tomorrow's date) in a date field, by simply typing in the word 'today'or 'tomorrow' and Project will insert the date for you.
