Hi There

I'm having a problem with my table spacing. If I create a table 2 Row by 4 Columns and place pictures in the first row and text in the second, the row with the text is leaving to big a gap and I need to know how to make the row fit the text:

Thank you

Hi Stephen

There are two methods that you can use to solve this problem.

The first is that you can go into the code view and change the row height manually, i.e. you change or enter a value for row height.

The second and most sensible method for you would be to use design view and then using the mouse just click on the table borders and move them to change the size of that particular row to suit your needs.

Hope this helps

Vertical alignment of cells

by - trainer Rich platinum contributer[744 posts] (2006 Nov 29 Wed, 16:52) Edited on 2006 Nov 29 Wed, 16:52 replyReply

Stephen,

You may also be talking about vertical aligning of text.

Have you tried setting the cells with text in them to be Vertically Aligned to the top? By default, cells are vertically to the middle, and if the blocks of text vary in height, the smaller blocks of text will appear vertical centre.

If this solves your problem, please mark the question 'resolved' below, or expand on your question detail.

Regards, Rich
