Editing a slide master template

When you are opening the slide master as a new user and you want to tailor it and add a new slide which show headers and footers how do you get the headers and footers to show?

For upcoming training course dates see: Pricing & availability

RE: Editing a slide master template

Hi

First you need to check that your new slide layout in slide master view has the header and footer box checked in Master layout group. The master layout group is only visible in slide master view.

Select the slide or slides that you want to apply the header and footer to then in normal view go to Insert -Header and Footer. (Located in text group on Insert Ribbon).

From Header and footer dialog click to check
date and time
slide number
footer ( You can type a footer here)

MORE IMPORTANTLY click Apply to all to have it in the whole presentation or APPLY to apply to SELECTED SLIDES or the current slide you are on.
