Setting a video as background
Hi - just wondering if it's possible to use a video recording as the background (continuous play) for a presentation. This sounds like something that can be done but is beyond my knowledge. My manager has given me the DVD to use and asked me to make it the background for this presentation, fading when text appears on the screen. Please advise! :)

Thank you for your question regarding setting up a video as a background.
Unfortunately within the confines of PowerPoints capabilities you wouldn't be able to play a video as a background, especially with the added factor of having it disappear when text appears.
That's not to say it can't be done with extra software installed (which comes at a cost.) The 123PPT video background player will allow you to to play full screen full motion videos in a PowerPoint presentation behind slide content.
