AutoNumber

Hi!

I wanted to know if I can get the ID field to go back to 1 after deleting 200 records, or at least show a number decreased of 200 in the forms.

Thanks!
Lucia

RE: AutoNumber

Hi Lucia

Please find a link below from Microsoft which explains how you can reset the autonumber field. I'm assuming this is a primary key. The link discusses steps for 2003 and 2007 and what to do if the primary key spans multiple tables.

YOU SHOULD BACK UP YOUR DATABASE BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEPS IN THE ARTICLE BELOW

Many thanks
