RE: Powerpoint 2007 - charts

Hi Marie

Thank you for your question regarding the naming of axes in powerpoint charts.

The best way to achieve this is to:

- select the chart (this will open the chart tools on the ribbon)

- Select the 'Layout' tab

- Select Axis titles from the labels group

To name the X axis

- select 'Primary Horizontal Axis' - 'Title below axis'

- Type the name of the axis, hit enter & the name will be inserted

To name the Y axis

- select 'Primary Vertical Axis' - selecting the preferred style

- Type the name of the Y axis, hit enter & the name will be inserted.

NB When selecting the postioning of either the X or Y title, at the bottom of the menu you will also have a command for more options, this will present more options on formatting the titles.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post.

Powerpoint tip:

Blank The Screen During a Presentation

You sometimes need eye-to-eye contact with your audience, so to remove the temptation of the presentation screen behind you, blank out the screen.

Ctrl+B blacks the screen out, and use it again to continue.

Ctrl+W whites the screen, but be careful not to use this in a dark room. You may blind your audience with a strong white light.
