Importing data

I want to use the column headings as my field names when I am importing data fronm excel to access. It keeps saying there is an error. If I do not use the column headings the data is imported successfully. What is the problem?

Thanks

RE: importing data

Hello Jean,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Access course with BEST Training.
Thank you for your question regarding Importing.

When importing to Access you will usually get an option in one of the steps when using the IMPORT WIZARD, a box that you can tick saying "First row contains column headings".

That should give you the result you are are looking for.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
