I need to hyperlink from a word document to a worksheet in an excel document. how do I do this so it links to a particular worksheet ?

Hi Vicky,

To link from your word document to your excel file you would need to use the hyperlink function. Excel will open excel at wherever the last place you saved it was. So if you want to link to Cell A1 in Sheet 5 for example you would have to have saved you excel workbook with the screen showing Sheet 5 and the cursor in A1.

What happens though if the spreadsheet is accessed and saved to another worksheet after i have hyperlinked say to cell A1 in sheet 5? will it then open to the next place it was saved?

Yes it will open to the active cell where it was saved. A good idea would be to hold the one sheet you need to link into in a separate workbook
