Is there a way to get the forms and reports to be dynamic? I use a database which refreshes daily...

RE: Access 2007

Hi Salima

My first question is how does the database update itself dynamically?

What I would do in your situation is create a query which basically gets the information from the associated tables and use the query as the basis for your report and your form.

Please do not hesitate to reply to me if the above does not make sense

Thanks

Newson

RE: Access 2007

Sorry, I should have been more clear..yes the information will come from a query which is updated daily, however when I refresh the query any forms/reports associated with the query do not seem to update.

RE: Access 2007

Hi Salima

Salima is the query updated or run daily and if the former how is the update.

Have you checked that the control source of the report/form is the query? In layout view of the report/form ensure the design tab is selected and click on the Property sheet button (its should be the last button in that ribbon).

With the property sheet displayed select Report/form. Then go to the data tab and see what the Record Source property is. It should be the query.

Please don't hesitate to reply if that doesn't help

Thanks

Newson
