Pivot Table report

I have created a query from which I then viewed it in Pivot Table view and saved it.
How can I set this pivot table as a report to be viewed from the switchboard?

many thanks
Jane

RE: Pivot Table report

Hi Jane,

The Pivot table once saved as a report can be run from a macro.

You therefore need to create a macro that opens the pivot report. I suggest using the OpenReport Action in the macro. This then allows you to assign the macro to the Switchboard

Regards

RE: Pivot Table report

thanks, but how do I save it as a pivot report. When I am in pivot table view and I go save as report it does not come up in the correct format?

RE: Pivot Table report

Don't worry, I have run the macro from the query and set it to the Switchboard all sorted thanks

Access tip:

Action queries

Unlike select queries you cannot use action queries as a data source for the use with forms or reports,as they do not return a dataset that can be read.
