Deborah has attended:
Excel Introduction course

Excel

Why did my excel spreadsheet suddenly open in date format from normal? Every sheet was effected too and I can't remember deliberately selecting it and changing to to date format.

RE: Excel

Hi Deborah,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

The next time you open up the spreadsheet select all the sheets using shift and click. Select the first sheet, hold the shift key down and click on the last sheet and all of them will be selected.

Select all the data and try and change the formatting back to the desired one.

Then save and close if you are happy it has worked. If not don't save the changes.

Alternatively send me the spreadsheet and I will have a quick look at it.

Let me know if this works.

Regards

Simon

Excel tip:

Apply currency format quickly in Excel

To quickly apply the currency format to cell in your spreadsheet, select (highlight) the cells you wish to apply currency format to, then use Ctrl + Shift + $

This will apply a pounds symbol even though the $ key is pressed.
