Importing colour palette

Hi there

We had a custom colour palette set up for Excel 2003 and have now moved to 2007. How do I import the palette, please?

Thanks
Jess

RE: Importing colour palette

Hello Jess,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Excel Intermediate course with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding importing a custom colour palette from Excel 2003 to 2007. It seems that you are not the only one looking for a solution to this problem. Microsoft in their wisdom have taken away the old colour palette we liked so much in 2003 and have not provided a way to import our hard work.

The next best thing would be to go to the Page Layout ribbon and in the Themes section select Colors and click Create New Theme Colors. Choose the exact colours you used in 2003 and make sure you save the creation. If you then apply the new colour theme to your worksheet all fonts and fills etc. will take on the colours you have setup. The new setting will always be available for use every time you open Excel.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Rodney
