Creating Project Calendar and adding it to Global.MPT file

I have created a work specific calendar but cannot see this calendar in other projects
I have tried to set as default in the same project but when I click on the resource pool I have to assign this calendar to each resource individually

For upcoming training course dates see: Pricing & availability

RE: Creating Project Calendar and adding it to Global.MPT file

Hello Raj,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Project course with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding adding a Project calendar to the Global.MPT file. I'm glad to see you are working on your project files straight after the training.

To add a custom calendar to the global file you must open the file that contains the calendar which you wish to make available to all your projects, then go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Organizer'. Select the 'Calendar' tab and select the calendar on the right hand section and click the 'Copy' button. This will copy the calendar to the Global.MPT file.

Please remember that you must do this each time you make any changes to your calendar as you cannot amend these settings in the Global file. Each time you perform this action you will be prompted to overwrite the existing calendar which of course you will agree to.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Rodney
