Animations

Hi guys
I am using motion paths and grow/shrink animations on some of my presentations. Is there a way of duplicating the slide AFTER the animation has run? ie I have a shape on the right side of a slide..I use a motion path to move it to the left side of the slide. I then want to duplicate the slide with the shape in the new position so I can build on the new slide. Hope that makes sense
Regards
Mike

RE: animations

Hello Michael,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft PowerPoint courses with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding duplicating a slide after animation has been run. I assumed you did try to make a duplicate of your slide with animation and discovered that both slides were identical. Unfortunately, this is how it works. When you run 'play', you will observe how the animation will work during the slide show. Then the objects will revert to their original position.

To achieve what I think you are trying to do, will require making a duplicate of the slide with animation and then physically moving things into the place you require on the duplicate and then adding more objects/animation.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Powerpoint tip:

Change the default folder location for opening and saving presentations

If you are always opening presentations from and/or saving documents to a specific location that is not My Documents, save time by setting this folder as the default for opening files from and saving files to.

Here's how:
1. Go to Tools - Options.

2. Select the Save tab.

3. Enter the pathname of the folder you wish to make the default in the Default File Location box (hint: it will be easier to use Windows Explorer to navigate to this folder, then copy and paste the pathname from the address bar at the top of the Windows Explorer screen).

4. Click OK.

You have now changed the default folder for opening and saving presentations.
