Conditional Formatting

Hi,

I have a table with different data and one of the columns is names of countries. I am trying to filter this column by different countries and highlight each country in a different colour. I can do it manually one country after another. However, could I actually apply conditional formatting using names of the countries, rather than data?

Many thanks,

Svetlana

RE: Conditional Formatting

Hello Svetlana,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Excel Intermediate course with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding conditional formatting.

In order to do this first select the data for the country column then click the 'Conditional Formatting' button on the 'Home' ribbon. Enter the country name and select custom format and choose your own fill colour and font colour. You have to do this for each country which can take a while if you have many of them in your list.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Rodney
