Using images in Excel

I am trying to use thumbnail images in Excel and am encountering some problems. When I filter columns the images do not move with the other row contents. Is there a way to 'lock' images within a cell so that they are also included in any filtering or sorting?

RE: Using images in Excel

Hi Colin, thanks for your query. Small thumbnail images shouldn't be too much of a problem. Right click on the image and choose Size and Position, then click the Properties category. The options for control the moving and resizing of images dependent on the cells are located there.

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Excel tip:

Adding Rows or Columns in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

If you want to add a row to an Excel spreadsheet, these are the simple steps you should take:

With your mouse, right click on the row header below where you want the new row to be added. Then, click Insert.

Follow exactly the same steps if you want to add a column to an Excel worksheet, right click on the column header, choose Insert and the new column will be inserted to the left of the selected column.
