Task Deadlines

HI Andrew,

Instead of specify a exact date as a DEADLINE for a task, Can the deadline be linked to another task.

For example, I would like to specify the deadline for task#40 to be 21 edays after the end of Task#39 (note: task #39 is a milestone).

is it possible to do this ?

Indy

RE: Task Deadlines

Hi Indy,

Thank you for your question.

As far as I am concerned you can't use Deadline dates to achieve this. You can only specify dates for deadlines in the task information box.

One solution might be to try and create some sort of custom field and then create a graphical indicator to appear depending on the result.

I will also refer this to my colleague as well and see if he can think of anything I may have missed using Deadlines.

Regards

Simon

RE: Task Deadlines

Hi Inderpal,

Unfortunately we have not found a solution to your problem as we believe Deadline dates in the Advanced box can only have dates and not references to other cells.

As stated in my previous email, you could set up a Custom Field and try and do it that way.

Sorry we couldn't have been of more help to you in this instance.

Regards

Simon
