Conditional Formatting
Resolved · High Priority · Version 2007
Gavin has attended:
Excel Intermediate course
Excel Advanced course
Conditional Formatting
I need to exchange files between 2007 and 2003 but am losing conditional formatting deeper than 3 levels. Can I get around this? Preferably without complex Macro/VBA (my advanced course is tomorrow!?). Thanks. Gavin

RE: Conditional Formatting
Hello Gavin,
Thank you for your question regarding conditional format
Unfortunately, the reason 2007 supports more than 3 levels of cond. format is the new file extension allows this. Trying to save a file in earlier versions will remove any of the new features such as multiple levels.
Only way around this, is like you noted, is applying more levels through VBA.
I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.
If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?
Have a great day.
Regards,
Mark
