Hello Jacqui,


Thank you for your question regarding iferror function.

This has many uses and was introduced in version 2007. An example could be where you are using exact Lookups and if it cannot find what its looking for, instead of the non de-script N/A error appearing, you could use the IfError to show a more meaningful message. Such as "Not Found".

e.g.
=IFERROR( VLOOKUP( "Jim", A1:B5, 2, FALSE ), "not found" )
