Changing the axis infromation in an Excel graph

Hi

I am currently using a line graph to display training course data as follows

No of delegates
No of delegate hours
No of training courses

As the number of training courses is much lower than the other figures its getting lost at the bottom, is there any way to change the Axis numbers at the bottom of the graph to highligh this data?

Thanks

Nicky

RE: Changing the axis infromation in an Excel graph

Hi Nicky, thanks for your query. You can't alter the scale at the bottom of the y-axis (unless you do it graphically) but try this. Click once on the "No of training courses" line, then right click on it and Format Data Series. Then choose Plot on Secondary Axis. That will give you another axis on the right of the chart and the "No of training courses" should be much clearer on the chart.

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Excel tip:

Using Excel's MODE function

Use Excel's MODE function to display the most common value present in a particular range of cells.

The Mode function looks like this:

=MODE(cell range)

As an example, if 35 is the most commonly recurring number in a particular cell range, then the function will display 35.
