Linking Plans
Is it possible to link two plans together ?
I would like to seperate an series of activities out of the main plan work on them in isolation but link them to actvities within the main plan such that changes to the "sub-plan" cause an effect in the main plan
Thanks You

RE: Linking Plans
Hi Sarah,
Thank you for your question.
My question would be whether the tasks you want to work on in isolation are part of the same summary task?
If so, you can copy and paste the tasks and durations into a new project and save the project as a separate entity.
Then in the main project, you can use the Insert Project command, select the sub project and insert it into the main one.
The process of inserting sub projects automatically links the sub project to the main one. Hence any changes made in the sub project will update in the main one.
I hope this answers your question. If not let me know.
Regards
Simon
