RE: Fields in Outlook Contacts

Hi Lucy

Thank you for your questions. I'll start with the second one first. I've checked and Miscellaneous fields 1,2,3 and 4 can't be renamed.

A possible alternative is to create a new field for the folder your contacts are stored in.

To try this (on a backup copy of live data) switch to a phone list view of your contacts, right click on on of the column labels and right click. From the menu choose Field chooser then click on New. Name the field and set to the appropriate info type for your data.

I will test this further and check re the bulk editing of records and get back to you as soon as I have some suggestions.

Kind regards,
Andrew

RE: Fields in Outlook Contacts

Hi Lucy

With regards to updating multiple contact fields at the same time I have done some research and found the following information on the Microsoft website. Again best to try with a copy of your data before applying to real contact records. Let me know if this works for you.
