RE: SUMIF

Hello Robin,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Excel Advanced course with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding slow calculations in your Excel spreadsheet. There can be several reasons why a sheet may take a while to calculate. Insufficient RAM, too many programs open, a massive Excel file etc.

You didn't provide much information regarding your spreadsheet. How many columns of data? How many sheets? Are there formulas referring to other sheets or Workbooks? How many formulas are there in the sheet? And so on...

One thing you can do is switch your Workbook to Manual calculation then when you are ready to calculate click Calculate Now or press F9 on your keyboard. You can make the adjustment in the Formulas ribbon in the Calculation group.

You may have to speak to your IT department and see if they can help boost the performance of your PC.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Rodney

Excel tip:

3D formulas find and replace

After you know all the components of a 3D reference, you can change them to suit by using a localised Find and replace crt+f, if need be.
