Hello Philippa,
Thank you for your question regarding embedding files.
To embed any type of file, from the INSERT Ribbon, Text Section, Click the OBJECT button. From the dialog, select the option on the left Create From File, then browse to locate the file required.
You can then click OK and the file will be placed in the slide, otherwise, before clicking OK Check the tick box to display as Icon.
