How do you slide words from either side of your slide or fade or bring up words on a slide

Under the Slide show menu there are 2 options:-

One is "Animation schemes" which are pre-programmed effects where you can apply effects to your whole slide. Alternatively you can use Custom Animation where you can individually change the effects of each placeholder accordingly.

Powerpoint tip:

Get into recently opened files easily

To get into recently opened presentations without using your mouse, hold down Alt + F to open the File menu.

Recently opened files are listed down the bottom of the File menu - type in the number next to the file you wish to open and it should appear on your screen.
