Working hours changes not showing up when 2010 file saved as 200

Hi all,

I have recently come across an issue with regards to setting working hours on 2010 which are then not shown when I save the document as a .project2007.

Essentially, i set up my working hours and holidays in 2010 project and its fine. But then when it comes to saving the same project as a 2007 document the holidays and work hours aren’t there.

I look forward to your suggestions.

Thanks in advance,

Nav

RE: Working hours changes not showing up when 2010 file saved as

Hello Navraj,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Project Intro Intermediate course with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding setting working hours and holidays in 2010 and then saving as a 2007 file.

I have never experienced this problem before so it's possible that you are not following procedures correctly.

This is what I do when working with calendar settings. In 2010 select Change Working Time from the Project ribbon. Create a new calendar and make whatever changes you need. Use the options button to ensure that your hours in the calendar match the default hours in the calendar options.

After accepting all changes go to the Project ribbon and select Project information. Select your new calendar from the calendar drop down and click OK. Go to the Gantt chart and right click and choose Non-Working time. From the calendar drop down choose your project calendar.

Save the file as a 2010 file then save as a 2007 file. All changes made to your calendars should be reflected in both versions.

Try it again... it does work. If you cannot get this to work then I suggest you send me both files and I will see what may be wrong.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
