RE: Project stakeholders

Hi Jennifer

Thank you for your question. Whilst it's hard to come up with a fixed rule for communicating with stakeholders we could re purpose the RACI framework and add a supporting classification of how communication will take place.

So in addition to recording
Responsible
Accountable
Consult
Inform

We might add the methods available to us

Weekly steering group
Email newsletter
Daily phone call
etc.

The options might arise through conversation with the stakeholders involved or might have been dictated in the Project statement.

The way to pin down the best type of communication to choose is to focus on its purpose first, method second.

I hope this helps - do let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,
Andrew

Professional & management tip:

Setting To Do Lists

Improve your time management techniques by writing down your daily to do list for that day on the previous evening. You then don't have to get up and wonder "what do I need to do today" - you just hit the ground running.
