RE: Sub totals

Hi Julia,

The best way to do this is via the subtotal option. The first thing you need to do it SORT your data based on where you wish to add a sub-total. For example if you had a header "department" and another header "Salary" and you wanted to create a sub-total showing the total salaries by department then you need to sort the data by the header "department". Once you have done this please do the following

> data
> subtotal

You will get a box come up that you need to select the change and the subtotal. I have given you a link below with illustrations that will help you work through this.
