I created a macro yesterday and saved it to the Personal.XLSB rather than "all open workbooks" etc...
Now, everytime I open a file I get a message saying "Personal.XLSB is locked for editing by L.Dellapina" - that's me.
Is there a way to keep this macro available to all workbooks but not get this message everytime I open a file?

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Excel advanced course with Best STL.
Thank you for your question regarding saving macros. Firstly, there are only 3 choices you can make about where to store the macro.
1) Personal Macro Workbook
2) New Workbook
3) This Workbook
The first option allows all files that are opened to use this macro. When you close Excel you are prompted to save changes to the Personal Macro Workbook which is a hidden file and should contain no data, only macros.
It appears as if you have saved the PERSONAL.XLS as a Binary type, whereas, perhaps you should re-save it as a normal .xls workbook.
