What is the maximum amount of rows of source data which can be used to create a pivit table? I'm trying to create a pivot using almost 60,000 rows of source data and get an error massage saying that there are too many unique items. Thanks

RE: EXcel

Hi, the limit used to be 8000 rows in 2003, I'll check to see if that has has changed in 2007 and come back to you later today.

Thanks

Paul

Excel tip:

Highlighting a data range

Attempting to use a mouse to highlight a large range of cells with data in Excel can make the mouse to have a life of it's own!

Use keyboard strokes instead.

Step 1. Place the cusor in the cell where the highlighting should begin.

Step 2. Select keystroke, CTRL+SHIFT+END

This will take the cursor to the furthermost bottom corner of the data range found in that worksheet. And highlight that range of cells at the same time
