Saving multiple projects

Hi,

I work on multiple projects at one time - is it best to save these intially as individual projects and link them? or shall i have a master project with sub projects in?

Thank you

RE: Saving multiple projects

Hi Sally

Thanks for your question. It depends on how you want to use resources. If the plans are not resourced (or resources are unique to each plan) then unlinked projects would probably be fine. If however you would like to track one team of resources across multiple projects then a Resource Pool and linked projects would probably more useful.

I hope this helps - do let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,
Andrew

Ms project tip:

Autofit column width – Project (all versions)

a. Highlight the column or columns you wish to alter the width of.
b. Double click the dividing line between the columns. This dividing line is the break between the columns on the column headers (grey buttons showing the column letter at the top of each column). When you hover your mouse over one of these dividing lines the point will change and show an arrow pulling a line in two directions. When you have this mouse pointer you should double click to get Project to automatically set the column width to fit the contents of the column (autofit)
